As soon as your EU trademark application has a filing date you can oppose registrations of signs identical or similar to yours. IP STRATEG’s Opposition service includes: 1. Admissibility check We check if you are legible to file a Notice of Opposition for example – whether you missed the deadline to file it. 2. Assessment of the opposing party We make an in-depth search of the opposing party – its business and whether and how it uses its trademark. 3. Drafting of the opposition Comparing the goods and services, the different signs and giving legal assessment. 4. Filing of the opposition We file the opposition on your behalf and follow –through the entire process updating you regularly for the status. 5. Negotiation We conduct talks on your behalf with the opposing party in other to negotiate an agreement and thus to terminate the procedure in mutually acceptable manner. This so called cooling-off period expires two months after the notification of admissibility of the opposition. 6. Preparing and sending additional information and evidence 7.
